I swear reading Thunderdome is like going to a Titans, Jags or Colts blog…
I don't ever think I've seen such a consistent message of gloom and doom following three 9-7 seasons, two Division titles, possessing the #1 defense in the league and upgrading at QB.
Can things go badly this season? Absolutely… Just ask Hoodies' minions…
But this "last AFC South Preview before the 2017 season starts" (Thank barking goodness!!!) while filled with the excellent level of analysis that Matt Weston usually provides just starts with the Ziggy-esque gloom-and-doom underlying false premise that has just taken over and made Thunderdome what it is today.
It's obviously not hurting their clicks because as tired of the crap as I am I still keep going over there for the occasional ray of sunshine that breaks through from some of the real fans that still comment over there in between the petulant name-calling and slander.
But great googly moogly what will it take to please the hive-mind? Setting the bar at "SuperBowl or Pissed Off" is a great way to puff and blow about what a high-standards stud of an overachiever you are, but allowing it to SUCK THE LIFE out of any enjoyment of having a winning, yes winning, football team in town is just spoiled and absurd. We could be the Saints for the first three decades of their existence, we could be the Browns, we could be De-flipping-Troit for bark's sake, but we have a very competent team that should provide hope going into every season. But no… let's not enjoy the BEST PART OF THE SEASON when all things are possible. Let's whine, nitpick and predict gloom.
